Family worship may look different day to day and family to family. But the importance of the discipline of worshiping God together as families cannot be understated.

We believe Scripture teaches the centrality of the family in disciple making.

There are numerous passages in the Bible that teach the parents as being the primary disciplers of their kids. Passages like Deuteronomy 6:7-9 and Ephesians 6:1-4, as well as passages like 2 Timothy 3:15 teach this beautifully simple truth. It is our desire at RHBC to aide and empower parents as they seek to do just that.

On Sunday mornings, whether in Sunday School or in Worship, currently you will find families worshiping and studying Scripture together.

We agree with Charles Spurgeon who said, “I trust there are none present, who profess to be followers of Christ who do not also practice prayer in their families. We may have no positive commandment for it, but we believe that it is so much in accord with the genius and spirit of the gospel, and that it is so commended by the example of the saints, that the neglect thereof is a strange inconsistency.”
